Mark Edmonds

RDIEC Executive Director

Mark Edmonds is the Executive Director of the Regina District Industry Education Council (RDIEC). With over 30 years of experience in education, Mark has held various roles including teacher, administrator, consultant, and coordinator within the Prairie Valley School Division.

His extensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction has been instrumental in his current role at RDIEC, where he focuses on bridging the gap between industry and education to support youth in their career pathways.

Mark is passionate about creating opportunities for students to explore different career options and gain practical experience. His leadership at RDIEC is marked by a commitment to fostering strong partnerships between schools and local industries, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the future.

Renette Edgar

Program Facilitator

 

Renette Edgar spent 36 years in education. The first half of her career was spent as an elementary school teacher. In 2001 she took on the role of itinerant career counsellor and finished her last three years as the Career Education / PAA Consultant for Prairie Valley School Division.

 

Renette has been been working with RDIEC for the past 7 years and continues opening up career pathways for youth.

MEGHAN GARDINER HOEHN

Program Facilitator

 

With a 12-year tenure as a dedicated high school career counsellor, an additional year as an academic advisor at the university-level and now operating a private career counselling business, Joyful Futures, Meghan possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of education and career development. 

 

Meghan is thrilled to recently join the RDIEC team and will be overseeing the Saskatchewan Youth Internship Program.

 

Kelly Ireland

Virtual Reality & Transitions Program Facilitator


Kelly served his entire 30 year career in rural Saskatchewan, split almost evenly between the roles of classroom teacher, education technology consultant, and school administrator. His philosophy of education is “We’re teaching kids, not curriculum”, demonstrating the importance he puts on developing relationships.

 

His position as Virtual Reality facilitator brings together his two favorite things, working with kids & technology! Kelly has been with the RDIEC since October 2022 and is excited to continue to learn about all the career pathways young people have available to them.

Marcel Lorenz

Program Facilitator


Marcel has spent his 30 year career with Regina Public Schools, primarily teaching grades 6-8. For the last part of his career he taught Electrical and Electronics at Campus Regina Public as well as facilitating the Grade 8 MYPAA experience at CRP. During his career he has had a strong belief in the positive benefits of both Career Education as well as Practical and Applied Arts. Developing resources for classroom teachers in both areas was an important part of his professional development.

 

Marcel started with RDIEC in July of 2023 and looks forward to continuing to work with industry and the education sector.

Bonnie Baron-Williams

Program Facilitator


Bonnie Baron-Williams was privileged to build and engage in authentic relationships within diverse learner environments at Regina Public Schools for over 30 years. Her roles included High School Guidance and Career Counsellor; Senior Mathematics High School and Evening Instructor; Mathematics Core Leader; Intensive Supports Teacher – Quiet High and Vocational Alternative Program; Senior Math and Science Teacher and Program Coordinator for Pregnant and Parenting Teens; and Substitute Teacher.

 

Bonnie has been with RDIEC since August 2023. She advocates for students’ smooth transitions by providing post-secondary educational and career awareness and immersive experiences.
