Try a Career Days

The Grade 9 Work Safe “Try a Career” or TaC event takes place every year in the week prior to the May long weekend.  The event sees every Grade 9 student from Regina Public, Regina Catholic, Prairie Valley, FHQTC, and several independent First Nations attend.  The 2026 TaC event will see over 3800+ students in attendance! Grade 9 is a pivotal grade, as students begin to formally enter the “world of work”.  Students are beginning to understand the importance of safety in the work place and their workers rights, are about to obtain a driver’s license, and are also choosing their high school credit and career pathways as they determine which high school courses they want to choose and pursue.  Grade 9 provides the foundation for every student’s high school experience!

We (RDIEC) are excited to announce that the Work Safe / Grade 9 Try a Career Days are scheduled for May 12 – 14, 2026. 

This year’s TaC (Try a Career) event is RDIEC’s tenth annual!  Come celebrate with us!

This event will take place at the Balgonie Multi-Plex Hall and Balgonie Skating Rink (Stardome Arena).
