Scholarships

Being awarded a scholarship is a great way for students to be recognized for all their hard work.

Here are some key steps and tips:

  1. Search for awards that match your skills, interests, community involvement, academic
    achievements, and financial
needs. These suggestions are a starting point for students and families to investigate scholarships:
  2. Request reference letters. When asking someone to write a reference letter for you, it is
important that they know all the wonderful things you have done, both in and outside of school. This form organizes your accomplishments. Provide it to the individuals who have
agreed to write you a letter.
  3. Volunteer in your school, community, and cultural & sporting events.
  4. Watch RDIEC’s Parents as Career Coaches’
    Scholarship and Funding Videos
    for tips.
  5. Prepare a personal profile demonstrating your career aspirations, extracurricular activities, and
    leadership in your community.
  6. Request or order your academic transcript.
  7. Apply now and throughout your post-secondary education journey.
