Business Information Systems:
Have you ever wondered what goes into creating the software, apps, and video games you use and enjoy? Come join Business Information Systems at ThinkTech! We’ll explore the basics of software development through the creation of a quick video game. Working with one of our instructors, you’ll use an industry standard tool to explore logical thinking and programming to see the basics of game creation. You can run, jump, or maybe even fly into software development with Business Information Systems.
Computer Automated Systems Technician:
Get ready to work with the same technology that powers the internet and laser communication systems! In this hands-on project, you’ll explore the anatomy of a fiber optic cable—the ultra-thin glass strands that carry data at nearly the speed of light. You’ll learn how to strip and cleave the fiber to prepare it for joining, then use precision fiber splicers to fuse the fibers together. Finally, you’ll test your splice to measure how efficiently it transmits light.
It’s part science, part craftsmanship, and all about mastering the technology that keeps our world connected. Are you ready to join the speed of light?
Graphic Communications:
Students will participate in a hands-on branding sprint led by program instructors. Working in design teams, they will brainstorm, develop concepts, and create a logo for a specific client. This interactive experience offers a glimpse into the creative process and problem-solving skills essential to the graphic design and communications industry.
Interactive Design & Technology:
Discover the future of play with our Augmented Reality Scavenger Hunt, designed by students in the Interactive Design and Technology program! Explore hidden clues, unlock digital surprises, and experience how creativity and tech collide in this one-of-a-kind adventure. A smart phone is required for this interactive experience.
Computer Networking Technician:
Prepare yourself today for a fast-paced career in IT with Saskatchewan Polytechnic CNT (Computer Networking Technician) certificate. You’ll quickly be trained to become a networking guru by the end of 36 weeks; installing, maintaining, and securing computer networks will be second nature to you. This hands-on program includes Linux, Windows server, network, and Cisco networking, which prepares you to get industry qualifications like CCNA, CompTIA and Microsoft. With the growing demand for network administrators, computer, and IT analysts as well as cyber security experts, this program is your path to making your mark in the digital world.
